Mt Hood Timberline
Longest vertical drop in the US. Because of the glacier farming, very long season. Flatter than meadows, gully’s are great natural half pipes.
Ski area footprint: 9 chairlifts, 6 high speed quads. skiable terrain ≈ 1685 acres. 4,540 feet of vertical drop.
Generally not as crowded as Meadows. Parking can be limited near the lodge.
Timberline at one time had a gondola. It didn’t last long.

America’s largest night skiing. Nightskiing/boarding. The bowls offer steep & challenging terrain.

North side of Hood. Single chairlift.
Good beginner mountain. Skiable terrain ≈ 50 acres. 350 feet of vertical drop.

Great for beginners, thrifty Thursday, something for everyone. Laid back, rarely over crowded. Stunning views of Mt Washington & Mt Jefferson.
Closest resort to Salem. 5 lifts, no high speed quads. Skiable terrain ≈ 800 acres. 1,035 feet of vertical drop.

Mt Bachelor
30 minutes from Bend. Similar to Meadows, as in if the whole mountain is open (summit chair for Bachelor) then the options are endless for advanced terrain.
One of the largest resorts of North America, 12 lifts, 8 are high speed. ≈ 4300 acres of skiable terrain. 3,365 feet of vertical drop. Snow can be a little lower moisture content (drier) than on Mt Hood.

90 minutes from Eugene. One of the steepest runs in the world. RTS. Real tough ***t. The slope is 52°

Farthest east resort in Oregon. Variety of terrain. Known for it’s powder days. Remote location. Offers snowcat skiing.

Farthest south in Oregon. Only 5 miles north of the California border. Brush up on your Shakespeare, the lifts and runs are named after him/plays.
